WAHMS – Get Top Tips from Expert Work at Home Moms

Site Build It! It’s our first “live” WAHM Q&A to be held on April 28th at 10AM ET. The goal is to get moms talking about e-business and in particular, the benefits of being a Work At Home Mom. With Mother’s Day (in many parts of the world) fast approaching, the timing is perfect.

How Will This Work?
Anyone can go to the SSFB Wall and post a question by commenting on the announcement there… ASK IT

A highly qualified team of real-life WAHMs will be on hand to answer ALL of your questions.

This expert WAHM team will share how they nurture/grow a family and a business each day, with some days being more successful than others!  ;-)  Ask them the how/what/where/when/why questions about owning and managing a successful e-business from home. For example, are you wondering…

o   Why is an e-business the ideal solution for Work-At-Home-Moms?

o   How can I overcome my partner’s/spouse’s skepticism?

o   What tips do you have for balancing family and business needs?

o   Where do you set up your home office? When do you work?

o   What if I don’t have anything to sell?  How will I make money?

No question is too small or too silly.   :-)

The SSFB Team will post announcements / reminders about the upcoming event.

Simply ask your question by commenting on the announcements or posting to our Wall. Mark your question with “WAHM Live Q&A,” so that we know it’s for this event.

The team collects ALL questions and posts them in the “Notes” section of SiteSell Facebook. We do this because the Wall scrolls posts down and out-of-sight pretty quickly. Reposting them to “Notes” keeps them all in one place.

This way, you can easily see if your question has been asked by someone else already. Or scanning the questions might trigger an “Aha” moment, when a question pops into your head that you wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.

On the day of the LIVE session, our WAHM guest experts and two members from the SSFB team (who are WAHMs as well, by the way) will be present for one hour.

We’ll be re-posting and answering all questions collected between now and the live event.

But the real excitement starts when you ask us questions DURING the live event, for two reasons…

1) You can interact with any of the guest experts by asking a follow-up question to your answer, and

2)  You have the chance of winning one of four fantastic prizes that will be awarded during the one hour Live Q&A…

Some of the expert WAHMS who will be on hand to answer your questions are:

Whether YOU are a mom or not, we encourage you to attend the live event too! You’ll gain valuable insights into what moms are up against (or think they are up against) when it comes to starting an online business. Then you’ll be able to take what you learn and address each point in any mom-related promotions you do.

NO question will go unanswered. So, start posting right away! Oh, and by the way, the Q&A isn’t exclusively for WAHMSWork-at-Home-Dads are welcome too, as is anyone interested in working from home.

Mark this special event on you calendar…

Thursday, 28th of April 2011, at 10 AM (ET).

Here are some home business ideas that you can explore and consider, particularly since each needs a special skill or knowledge level in order to be practical.

Let us begin with home instructors and personal trainers. People who want to become instructors in one domain or another require certification as well: Pilates trainers, yoga instructors, alternative therapists and lots of other professions are within reach as viable home business ideas.

Other much debated home business ideas include business coaching and tutoring. Tutoring students is possible either on the Internet via chat services or in collaboration with schools and local educational programs. On the other hand, a person with a good market knowledge and lots of marketing background can easily fit in the business environment for consultancy services. From all the work from home business ideas, this is often one of the most profitable.

Accounting makes one of the many home business ideas that require certification and a solid education background. Thus, only certified public accountants can offer their independent services to business and freelancers alike. Further on, interior design, web programmers, photography, catering, cleaning services, childcare, writing and so on, make other individual home business ideas to be put into practice by one who has the skills and the power to do it.

Extreme caution is advised for those who choose work from home business ideas outside their range of experience. Specialists advise not to make all the risk analyses necessary before investing into a domain you know little of and professional consultancy could be useful for the matter. As for the online wonder possibilities to make money, they either require some form of training or they are just big scams. Therefore, knowing your budget and skill limits is the first self-analysis element to influence decision making, and the more realistic you are the better things will work in your advantage.
